Chronic Lyme disease-Clinical Manifestations

According to Andrew Pachner, Lyme disease represents the New “Great Imitator.” This, because of the multiple potential clinical manifestations of this condition.

The following conditions have been associated with Lyme disease
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Chronic, often migratory arthritis
  • Cranial nerve palsies, such as Bells Palsy
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Neuropsychiatric conditions such as “….paranoia, dementia, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, panic attacks, major depression, anorexia nervosa and obsessive-compulsive disorder”
  • Parkinsons disease
  • MS-Multiple Sclerosis
  • ALS-Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or “Lou Gehrig’s disease”
